Timex Unisex Expedition Classic Analog Watch #T45151 Review

This watch satisfies the requirements that I have, a loud enough alarm and night reading but I would prefer not to have the numbers around the ring which looks more like a divers watch. I would like to see more attractive women’s watches that have good alarms and can be read at night.

Timex Unisex Expedition Classic Analog Watch #T45151 Overview

While it looks like a sturdy but casual watch, this Timex Expedition is built to excel just about anywhere you take it, as demonstrated by its most celebrated owners, Everest mountaineer Conrad Anker. The hands are illuminated, and the white dial also features the Indiglo night light function and a date calendar at the three o’clock position. The bi-directional stainless-steel bezel aids in precise time keeping. Arabic numerals and full indexes allow for easy time-keeping in any situation. The strap is a sophisticated beige-colored leather. The stainless-steel case is water resistant to 165 feet (50 meters). The watch uses analog-quartz movement and is backed by a 1-year manufacturer’s warranty.

Good idea, hard to use, breaks easily – R. kiehl – usa
I think they need to make more watches for women that have functions on them AND also have a little style (not just plastic digital sports watches). This was the best I could find and I had high hopes for it. It is a bit classier than a plastic sports watch, and it has an alarm function, which I need very much. The problem with this watch is that the knobs for setting it are difficult to use. Changing the calendar is difficult: it is very hard to get the knob into the correct position (just a hair further out than in the closed position, and once there, the numbers do not change very quickly, and it is hard to grasp the knob in order to turn it. Also, I agree with another person that it seems a little haphazard to me as to when the date changes. Finally,it needs to be made sturdier to not tarnish Timex’s reputation. My first one broke (at the knob area) and my second one had a piece of rubber come out from the top of the face when I was turning it. This watch would be great, if only it was sturdier and held up. It seems it needs to be replaced within a year, give or take. That’s too soon for a watch like this. Timex might want to find a way to make this smoother, easier to use and longer lasting. I really like the look.

Wouldn’t classify as “unisex” is large & I’m a big girl… – Libby – Southern California, CA USA
The watch itself is great but too large even for my big girl wrist. Also, on my computer monitor the band looked almost light blue. It isn’t. It is an ugly shade of greyish tan. The watch itself is great. Easy to set the alarm. Why, oh why do they not make alarm watches for women? Do they think we don’t need it? We need it WAY more then men do!!! Come on Timex give us gals a good “man’s” watch!!!

Excellent watch – B. SAMPSON – Illinois
This watch fits well, handles rugged wear or underwater use, and it looks good with business attire. I recommend this watch highly.
